From the Treasury of the Holy Gaon Rabbi Yechezkel Panet of Deyzh, Author of Knesset Yechezkel! Sefer Likutim Yekarim – Teachings of the Baal Shem Tov and His Disciples – Lviv, 1792 – First Edition – Printed by Rabbi Yehuda Shlomo Yarish Rapaport Sefer Likutim Yekarim, a collection of Chassidic teachings by the Fathers of Chassidut: Rabbeinu Yisrael Baal Shem Tov, his disciple the Maggid of Mezeritch, the Holy Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Premishlan, and the Holy Rabbi Yechiel Michel the Maggid of Zlotchov. Lviv, printed by Rabbi Yehuda Shlomo Yarish Rapaport. Most of the Sefer is a compilation from the Torah of the Maggid of Mezeritch. In this press of Rabbi Yehuda Shlomo Yarish Rapaport, the holy Sefer Noam Elimelech was printed in 1788, and according to tradition, the workers in the press were holy men from among the “Thirty-Six Hidden Tzaddikim.” [See Rabbi Betzalel Landau in his Sefer HaRabbi R’ Elimelech MiLizensk, citing an oral tradition (in the name of the Gaon Rabbi Moshe Halberstam) regarding the great spiritual power of the edition of Noam Elimelech printed by Rabbi Shlomo Yarish: “It was printed by God-fearing workers who engaged in the printing with holiness and purity, some of whom were among the thirty-six hidden tzaddikim upon whom the world stands.” (Jerusalem, 1963, p. 311)]. On the title page appears the stamp of the Holy Admor Rabbi Yechezkel Panet Av Beit Din of Dezh, author of Knesset Yechezkel: “Yechezkel Panet Av Beit Din of Dezh and its environs.” On the title page are earlier ownership inscriptions from 1838: “Here in Batlan, today Tuesday Parashat Nitzavim-Vayelech, I bought this Sefer for 22… I, the s. David son of Rabbi Shmuel..., year 1838.” The writer adds (in different ink): “That summer on Erev Shavuot I came to the town and settlement of Batlan in the year 1838.” The Holy Gaon Rabbi Yechezkel Panet Av Beit Din of Deyzh  (1870–1930), grandson and disciple of the Holy Rabbi, author of Ma’aglei Tzedek of Deyzh. One of the great Rabbis and Tzaddikim of Hungary in his generation. After his marriage, he studied under the Holy Rabbi, author of Divrei Yechezkel of Shinova, who honored him and drew him close. He served in the Rabbinate of the cities Harisar and Marosh-Ujvar, and in 1903 began serving in the Rabbinate of his forefathers in Deyzh. A miracle worker who brought salvation through the power of his prayers: “Thousands of Jews were saved through his holy prayers, and many matters which were impossible to occur naturally were done only through miracles, all by the great holiness and the holy prayers” (Kol Bochim, Dezh, 1930, p. 9). His Sefer Knesset Yechezkel on the Torah was printed after his passing (Cluj, 1931). [2], 40 leaves. 21 cm. Good–Fair condition. Damp stains. Wear. Worming.
