Manuscript Notebook in the Handwriting of the Gaon Rabbi Shaul Yisraeli – Detailed Halachic Analysis on the Laws of “Kana’im Pog’im Bo” – Later Printed in His Sefer Amud HaYemini The present notebook was first printed in 1966 in his sefer Amud HaYemini, siman 15. The Gaon Rabbi Shaul Yisraeli (1909–1995) was a rabbi and posek, one of the leading figures of the Religious Zionist movement. He served as Rosh Yeshiva of Merkaz HaRav and was a foremost disciple and close student of Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak HaKohen Kook and Rabbi Yaakov Moshe Charlap, with whom he studied in chavruta while preparing their lectures at the yeshiva. He was the first rabbi of the moshav Kfar HaRoeh, and later moved to Jerusalem, serving as a dayan on the Supreme Rabbinical Court and as a member of the Chief Rabbinate Council. 22–2 leaves (21 leaves; lacking the first leaf). 19 cm.
