The great Gaon Rabbi Dov Aryeh Ritter (1855–1936), Av Beit Din of Rotterdam, one of the leading Halachic decisors in Holland and among the important Rabbis of Europe. With his immense erudition, he was the one who uncovered the famous forgery of the Jerusalem Talmud on Kodashim, and he corresponded about it with the great Rabbis and decisors of Poland and Galicia. Half-leather binding detached, small tears and repairs to several of the opening leaves, stains. Fair–good condition.
