Letter in the handwriting and signature of Rabbi Boruch Ber Leibowitz, author of Birkas Shmuel — request and recommendation on behalf of the student Yissachar Zilber — sent to Rabbi Moshe Avigdor Amiel, Chief Rabbi of Tel Aviv — Kamenitz, Sivan 1939 “And we shall merit to see the coming of Mashiach.” The first part of the letter is typed on a typewriter, and the second half is in the handwriting of Rabbi Boruch Ber, in which he writes: “Yesterday, I was, unfortunately, confined to the infirmary, therefore I was unable to write the entire letter myself, and today, thank G-d, my health has improved, and I request with all my heart on behalf of the Bachur… and in this merit, they will be granted from Heaven days and years, and we shall merit to see the coming of Mashiach…”. Written on official letterhead of “The Yeshiva Gedolah ‘Knesses Beis Yitzchak’ — founded in Slabodka, now in Kamenitz of Lithuania.” [1] leaf. 30 cm. Good–fair condition. Stains and wear.
