Sefer Na’im Zemirot Yisrael, Commentary on the Zemirot of Maran the Arizal by Mahar”I Sarug – Levov 1793 [?] – First Edition – The Exampler of the Righteous Rabbi Pinchas Teomim-Frankel, Son-in-Law of the Holy Rabbi Yechiel Michel of Shinava In the Sefer before us is printed a detailed commentary on the three Zemirot of Shabbat attributed to the Arizal: “Azamer BiShvachin, ” “Asader LeSe’udata, ” and “Bnei Heichala.” In addition to the commentary, the Sefer also includes the commentary attributed to the Arizal on several Mishnayot of Pirkei Avot, titled “Mivchar SheB’Avot, ” as well as “Ma’amar HaMilu’im” by the Rama of Pano, on the Milui of the Divine Name Havayah. On the title page is the stamp: ”פינחס תאומים פרענקיל” The Righteous Rabbi Pinchas Frankel Teomim was married to the righteous Rebbetzin Drezil, daughter of the Holy Rabbi Yechezkel of Shinava, author of Divrei Yechezkel. He was one of the beloved grandchildren of the Divrei Chaim of Sanz, who also praises him in the introduction to the Sefer Ateret Chachamim by the Baruch Taam. His grandfather, the Divrei Chaim, held him in great affection, corresponded with him, and praised him for his assistance in editing the Sefer Ateret Chachamim of his ancestor, the Baruch Taam (see there in his approbation).
