Good condition. Stains and wear. New binding. The righteous Gaon Rabbi Yisrael Freund, Rabbi of Hunyad [1872–1940], son of the holy Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Freund of Naszód. Disciple of the Kedushat Yom Tov, the Divrei Yechezkel of Shchuchyn, and other Tzaddikim of the generation. In later years, he also connected to the Mahari”t of Satmar. His son was the Gaavad of Jerusalem, the holy Rabbi Moshe Aryeh Freund, who often mentioned his father’s conduct and Torah teachings.
