Sefer Mishmeret Itamar, essays of Kabbalah and Chassidut on the weekly Torah portions, by the Holy Rabbi Itamar of Kanskyvali – Warsaw 1870 – first edition The Holy author was a disciple of three of the great masters of Chassidut: the Chozeh of Lublin, the Maggid of Kozhnitz, and the 'Yid Hakadosh' of Peshischa. The present Sefer is rich in teachings and foundations the author received from their holy mouths. Likewise, the Sefer is filled with references to many Chassidic works, including the writings of the Baal HaTanya and Likutei Moharan. The Sefer frequently refers as well to the Siddur Kol Yaakov by Rabbi Yaakov Kapil. At the beginning of the Sefer was printed an introduction by the author’s son, filled with interesting material and information on the author’s biography. At the beginning were also printed important approbations by Rabbi Yosef Shaul Nathanson, the Torat Chesed of Lublin, Rabbi Tzadok HaKohen of Lublin, and the Admor Rabbi Leibale Eiger. Rabbi Yosef Shaul Nathanson writes in his approbation that he went beyond his usual practice out of great reverence for the author and wrote his approbation during Chol HaMoed: “Since he requested [the author’s son] and intended to print it immediately after Yom Tov, I said that since it is a mitzvah, we do not delay.” [3], 161 leaves. 23 cm.
