From the treasures of the Holy Rabbi Aharon of Chernobyl! Chiddushim of the Maharsh”a, on the commentary of Rashi on the Torah and objections on the Mizrachi. The sacred exampler of the Holy Rabbi Aharon of Chernobyl, a surviving remnant from the treasure of his Sefarim that passed by inheritance to his righteous son Rabbi Meshulam Zusia of Chernobyl. 60 [should be 82] leaves. Title page lacking. Ownership inscription on the title page: ”ר' זוסיא בהרב” a sign and mark of the division of the inheritance among the sons of the Holy Rabbi Aharon of Chernobyl, who, as is known, divided between them the Sefarim of their father and wrote on each to whose portion it fell. The Holy Rabbi Aharon of Chernobyl (1787–1872) – son of the Holy Rabbi Mordechai the Maggid of Chernobyl, son of the Holy Rabbi Menachem Nachum of Chernobyl, the Meor Einayim. He was the grandson (through his mother) of the Holy Rabbi Aharon HaGadol of Karlin. In his first marriage, he was the son-in-law of the Holy “Teshuot Chen” of Linitz, and in his second marriage, the son-in-law of the Holy Rabbi Zvi of Kristchov. In his youth, he was educated by his grandfather, the Meor Einayim. Already in the lifetime of his father, he was revered by the great Chassidim, who set their eyes upon him. After the passing of his father, he was appointed as his successor in the city of Chernobyl; the reverence of the Chassidim for him was immense, and throughout the region all followed his word. His other brothers, the Rebbes, all submitted to him and accepted his authority, trembling for his honor and loving him deeply. He served as President of Eretz Israel in Ukraine, a position precious to him, and he was involved in all matters of the Kolel Volhyn, from collecting donations to distributing support for the dwellers of the Holy Land, including managing all public affairs of the Holy Land in his days. His son and successor, the Holy Rabbi Yeshaya Meshulam Zusia (1814–1881) – son-in-law of his uncle, the Holy Rabbi Menachem Nachum of Makarov. In his first marriage, he was the son-in-law of the Holy Rabbi Pinchas of Slavuta, and in his second marriage, the son-in-law of Rabbi Mordechai Ze’ev Rabinowitz, grandson of Maran the Baal Shem Tov. His son-in-law was the Holy Maran Mahari”d of Belz. Upon his father’s passing, he was appointed as his successor in leading the community in the city of Chernobyl together with his brother. New leather binding with the inscription: 'שייך להרה”ק ר' אהרן מטשערנאביל זצוק”ל' without title page, stains, worming, medium–good condition.
