From his youth, he was called “Der Oived.” Even in the war, which he endured with self-sacrifice, he stood out in his service of Hashem amidst fear and darkness. He was the son-in-law of the Holy Rabbi Chaim Mordechai of Nadvorna. He built his court in Kfar Ata. From 1982, he resided in Jerusalem. Thousands came to behold his avodah during the Tishen and his fiery prayers. The Name of Havayah was engraved upon the Aron HaKodesh, toward which his pure eyes were constantly lifted. His well-known disciples, aside from his family members, include the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Yitzchak Meir Morgenshtern, Admo”r of Torat Chacham; Rabbi Gamliel Rabinowitz, Rosh Yeshivah of Sha’ar HaShamayim; Rabbi Yissachar Ber Leifer, Admo”r of Bistina; the Admo”r of Nikolsburg (USA), and others.
