Shu”t Ramatz, Part I, on Orach Chaim and Yoreh De’ah, by the Gaon Rabbi Meir Tzvi Whitmaier, Av Beis Din of Trebovla and Sambor – Premishla, 1872 – First edition — the exampler of the famous Harav HaKadosh Rabbi Shaul Brach, Av Beis Din of Karoly and Kaschau Stamp on the title page: ”שאול בראך מנייטרא – אב”ד דקהל יראים קאשוי יע”א” Additional stamp on the title page of his grandson: ”הק' יוסף צבי פריעדמאן מקאשוי” The holy Gaon Rabbi Shaul Brach of Nitra (1865–1940) — Kaschau — was born in Nitra, and thus stamped throughout his life: “Shaul Brach of Nitra.” He studied Torah with the Maharam Schick and the Chasam Sofer, and traveled to the Tzaddikim of the generation of Sanz, Sighet, and to the Tzaddikim of Beis Belz. He became widely renowned as Av Beis Din of Kaschau, and most of the Gedolei Hungary studied in the famed Yeshiva that he established and founded there.
