Manuscript, Asham Taluy — polemic against Christianity. [Italy, ca. 18th century]. Asham Taluy, “The incident that occurred in the days of Queen Helena.” A manuscript describing the early stages of the struggle between Judaism and Christianity. 12 leaves. Fine manuscript, with enlarged opening words. Apparently never printed, due to fear of the authorities and censorship. It is possible that the present manuscript is a chapter of “The incident of Jesus the Nazarene, ” from the manuscript of Asham Taluy, Part II (composed by Rabbi Yehuda Brial, Rosh Yeshiva of Mantua, and his disciple Rabbi Yehoshua Segre of Casale). New binding. Stains. Good condition.
