Letter in the handwriting and signature of the holy Tzaddik Rabbi Yaakov Meir Biderman, son-in-law of the author of Sfas Emes – Warsaw, Sivan 1935 “I received your letter… at a time when I am hurried to travel to Gur for the days of the upcoming Chagim” [Chag HaShavuos]. The letter before us was sent to Rabbi Avraham Fish, and it deals with matters of sending support funds to the beneficiaries of “Kollel Poland” in Eretz HaKodesh. The holy Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Meir Biderman , the eminent son-in-law of Maran Harav Hachasid, the Sfas Emes of Gur, and thus the brother-in-law of the Imrei Emes of Gur, and in later years became his father-in-law, when the Imrei Emes of Gur in a second marriage married his daughter, the righteous Rebbetzin Mrs. Feiga Mintsha, mother of Maran the holy Gaon, the Pnei Menachem of Gur. Rabbi Yaakov Meir Biderman was the father-in-law of the holy Gaon, Maran the Beis Yisrael of Gur in his first marriage, so that he was the son-in-law of the Sfas Emes, the brother-in-law and father-in-law of the Imrei Emes of Gur, the uncle and father-in-law of the Beis Yisrael, and the grandfather of the Pnei Menachem, aside from his own tremendous lineage and the lineage of his forefathers, Gaonim and holy Rabbanim of Poland for generations.
