From the library of “HaNesher HaGadol, ” the holy Gaon, “HaChasid Sh’BeKehuna, ” Rabbi Nosson Adler of Frankfurt am Main Sefer Tzeror HaMor, commentary on the Torah in the paths of Peshat and Sod, by Rabbi Avraham Saba, among the sages of the Spanish Expulsion – Venice, 1567 Inscription on the title page: ”מ”ה נתן אדליר כץ” The holy Gaon, “HaNesher HaGadol, ” Rabbi Nosson HaKohen Adler (1742–1800) was known already in his childhood as exceptionally gifted and endowed with rare talents, and from early youth conducted himself with holiness and asceticism. Rabbeinu the Chida applied to him the verse: “Behold now, I know that he is a holy man of G-d who passes by us continually.” (II Kings 4:9) He founded a Yeshiva in his home in Frankfurt am Main and stood at its head. There, Rabbeinu Maran the Chasam Sofer attached himself to him with all his might, becoming his outstanding disciple, and he called him “HaChasid Sh’BeKehuna.” Another stirring expression was said about him: “And You have made him a little less than G-d.” (Psalms 8:6), A G-dly Kabbalist and wonder worker, versed in miracles. 165 leaves. 28 cm.
