Important letter of recommendation handwritten entirely by the holy Rav author of the Knesses Yechezkel of Deyzh for one of his leading disciples, 1904.  המוכ”ז הבחור המופלג חריף ובקי זית רענן ירא ד' מו”ה יצחק ווערנער נ”י, קנקן חדש מלא ישן, יראתו קודמת לחכמתו, בהלכה ובאגדה בפלפול ובסברא, ומצאתיו מלא ברכת ד The Knesses Yechezkel ends with his holy blessings: בגלל הדבר הזה ימלא ה' כל משאלות לבכם לטובה כנפש המדבר לכבוד התורה ולומדי', ב' בהעלותך תרס”ד The Knesses Yechezkel then added his signature and stamp to the letter which was handwritten entirely by him.  The Holy Rabbi Yechezkel Panet, the Knesses Yechezkel of Deyzh (1870-1930) one of the great Tzaddikim of Transylvania. Studied with his grandfather the Holy Rav Rabbi Menachem Mendel Panet and by his order started laying Tefillin at the age of seven since he was, to cite his grandfather, 'a young one who knows how to take care of his Tefillin'. Already in his youth corresponded with many of Gedolei Hador, especially with the Shemah Shlomo and his son the author of Darkei Teshuva of Munkatch.  Official stationery. 23X15 cm. Widespread stains and fold lines. Professionally restored. Good condition.
