Copy of the Tzaddikim of Radovitz. [8], 45 leaves. In the present exampler, leaves 43–45 were bound at the beginning of the Sefer. Following the title page: the approbation of the Sanegoran Shel Yisrael, Harav HaKadosh Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev, and the approbations of the Av Beis Din of Pikiv, Harav HaKadosh Rabbi Yisrael ben Harav HaKadosh Levi Yitzchak, and the approbation of Rabbi Shmuel Yehuda, son of the author. With stamps: ישראל האגער חופ”ק ראדאויץ, משה בהרב הצדיק מק”ק סערד, משה האגיר מסעריטה with an illustration of a lion in the center of the stamp, and stamps from the private library of Rabbi Yosef Hager in New York. On the front endpaper, a lengthy ownership inscription in the handwriting and signature of Rabbi Moshe ben Harav HaKadosh Alter Yosef of Seret. Harav HaKadosh Rabbi Moshe Hager (c. 1840–1901) — son of Harav HaKadosh Alter Yosef (/ Yosef Alter), and grandson of Harav HaKadosh Rabbi Chaim of Kosov, author of Toras Chaim. In 1873 his father immigrated to the holy city of Tzefas, and Rabbi Moshe filled his place in Radovitz. In 1897 Rabbi Moshe immigrated to Eretz Yisrael; he was among the earliest Ashkenazic settlement in Haifa and served there and in Tzefas as Admor. Author of Vayikach Moshe. Harav HaKadosh Rabbi Yisrael Hager (1876–1940) — son of Harav HaKadosh Rabbi Moshe Hager and among the earliest Admorim in the United States. He immigrated to the United States in 1913, founded a Beis Midrash in New York and served as Admor of Radovitz in the United States. He labored greatly to strengthen Judaism in America, and established educational institutions and a system of Kashrus supervision. Fine new leather binding. Stains.
