Halachic responsum on “Dina DeMalchuta Dina, ” by the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Yehuda Leib Bloch, Rosh Yeshiva of Telz — reconstructed and rewritten from memory by his son, the Gaon Rabbi Eliyahu Meir Bloch, after the original responsum was lost during World War II — four large pages. The present responsum was printed in 'Shiurei Halacha' (Bnei Brak, 1995), p. 57. At the beginning of the responsum, Rabbi Eliyahu Meir writes: “This responsum remained with the other manuscripts which we did not succeed in rescuing from the hands of the wicked Germans, may their name be erased, and I recorded it from memory — the recorder, A.M. Bloch” (this opening was omitted in print). 4 leaves. 28 cm. Good to fair condition. Stains. Filing holes.
