Or HaMeir — Chassidic discourses on the Torah portions, by the holy Rebbe Rabbi Zev Wolf of Zhitomir. Koretz (after 1798?) — second edition. At the beginning of the volume appears the approbation of the holy Rebbe of Berditchev. The Sefer Or HaMeir was written by one of the foremost disciples of the author, the holy Rebbe Rabbi Eliezer, Sho”b of Zhitomir, author of Pirkei HaNazar (Lublin, 1886), concerning whom the holy Rebbe Rabbi Mordechai Shraga of Husiatyn testified that he was a Baal Ruach HaKodesh. The Gaon Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch of Chashnik, a disciple of the Baal HaTanya, writes (in his approbation to Avodat HaLevi by his close associate, the holy Rebbe Rabbi Aharon HaLevi of Strashala): כאשר שמעו מפיו הקדוש (של הרה”ק הרא”ה מסטרושלה) בזה הלשון: הספרים 'אור המאיר' ו'מאור עינים' הוא מה שכתבו תלמידיהם, ובוודאי לא השיגו עומק דעת רבותיהם, ואף על פי כן נדפסו, ונשמות ישראל משתעשעים בהם, ושפתותיהם דובבות בקבר. כן שמעו מפיו הקדוש בפירוש On the front endpaper: signatures and ownership inscriptions.
