Sefer Imrei Yehuda, Part I, on Sugyos of the Shas, by HaGaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Yehuda Segal Rosner, Av Beis Din of Săcueni – Săcueni 1928 – First Edition – With Author’s Inscription On the front endpaper appears the author’s handwritten dedication: ב”ה.דו”ד [=דורון דרשה] לכבוד תלמידי החתן תמים הבחור המופלא ומופלג מורינו אלימלך יאקאב נ”י, ג' תבא – תשורה – הק' יהודה סגל ראזנער אבדק”ק הנ”ל The name of the student Rabbi Elimelech Yakov is printed at the end of the Sefer in the list of “HaMitnadvim Be'am” who supported the printing of the Sefer, and his name also appears in the list of the Yeshiva students. HaGaon HaKadosh Rabbi Yehuda Segal Rosner (1877–1944) was among the prominent Rabbanim of Hungary in the generation before the terrible Holocaust. He served as Av Beis Din of Csap and Săcueni (in the latter position for about thirty-nine years). In Săcueni he headed a Yeshiva that was among the important Yeshivos of Hungary, where he raised many students. Rabbi Yehuda was close to and trusted by the Admorim of the Siget and Satmar dynasties. He was murdered in Auschwitz on the first day of Shavuos 1944. He left behind his works Imrei Yehuda on the Torah, Shas, and responsa. [4], 132, [4] leaves. 30 cm. Good condition. Stains. New binding.
