The Rebbe thanks him warmly, in his rich and distinctive language: ' ברך לקחתי וברך אשיבנה, שיברכו השי”ת בשנות חיים טובים וארוכים ובריאים, ויזכה לפעול עוד גדולות ורבות לכלל ולפרט מתוך שובע שמחות ונחת, שמחה וטוב לבב' In addition, the Rebbe expresses his deep admiration that he finds time, amidst the exhausting and pressing public work, for Avodas Hashem and spiritual elevation. He was known as an outstanding educator and pedagogue, and many he brought back from sin. He established and founded the Yeshivah Beis Avraham, seeing in it a nucleus that would preserve the spiritual flame of the House of Lechovitch–Kobrin, and through it he established and developed the holy Slonim court in Jerusalem. He stood at the head of the Yeshivah for about forty years, until he was appointed to serve as Admor in 1981. His Sefarim Nesivos Shalom were received with great affection among all segments of the Torah community, and many study them and find in them spiritual elevation in Avodas Hashem in the path of Chassidus.
