He continues with further discussion, addressing various matters with sharp analysis and great mastery, engaging deeply with the arguments of Maran HaGaon the Steipler presented in his letter. The discussion is written across both sides of the page. The letter begins in a clear and orderly handwriting, evidently intended as a formal letter to be sent to a distinguished recipient. However, it appears that Maran Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv later reconsidered and retained it as a draft. Accordingly, at the beginning of the lines on the second page he added two significant sentences concerning the forthcoming wedding celebration between the two illustrious families: ...ואחרי ההזמנה עד שיגמר ...מזמן ההזמנה עד שיגמרו לי יקח זמן של ארבעה חדשים We thus have here a subtle reference to the considerations surrounding the setting of the wedding date in the household of Maran, concerning the marriage of his son—who would later illuminate the eyes of Israel with his Torah and holiness, Maran Sar HaTorah Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky—to the daughter of Maran Posek HaDor, who would later become a renowned and righteous Rebbetzin.
