HaGaon Rabbi Chaim Aryeh HaLevi Ish Horowitz (1851–1904) – son of Rabbi Shaul HaLevi, Av Beis Din of Tysmenitz, and disciple of his grandfather Rabbi Meshulam Yissachar HaLevi, Av Beis Din of Stanislaw, author of Bar Livai. He served as Av Beis Din of Zolkova from 1881, as Moreh Tzedek in Krakow from 1885, and as Rav and Av Beis Din of Krakow from 1899. Author of Chayei Aryeh (two parts), containing responsa, Halachic novellae, and explanations of Talmudic Sugyos, as well as Tikkun Eruvin and other works, many of which remained in manuscript.
