Postcard by HaGaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Yehuda Leib Chasman, Author of Or Yahel – Sent to the Administration of the “Vaad HaYeshivos” Concerning Fundraising and Proper Management of Accounting Ledgers – Shchuchyn, Shevat 1925 The great Mussar master, Maran the Mashgiach Rabbi Yehuda Leib Chasman (1869–1936), spiritual director of the Telz and Chevron Yeshivos and among the foremost figures of the Mussar movement of his generation. He studied under HaGaon Rabbi Yitzchak Blazer and the Saba of Slabodka, Rabbi Nosson Tzvi Finkel, and also spent a year studying in the Talmud Torah of Kelm under the Saba, Rabbi Simcha Zissel. After his marriage he studied for about a year in the Volozhin Yeshiva. He later served in the rabbinate of Shchuchyn and in the Telz Yeshiva, eventually immigrating to Eretz Yisrael, where he served as Mashgiach Ruchani of the Chevron Yeshiva. His teachings were collected in the Sefer Or Yahel. 14 cm. Good condition. Filing holes.
