Long Letter by HaGaon Rabbi Aharon Kotler to the Administrators of the “Vaad HaYeshivos, ” Rabbi Yosef Shov and Rabbi Aharon Berek – Concerning Support for Yeshivos – Shevat 1937 The great Gaon Rabbi Aharon Kotler (1892–1963) – among the greatest of Gedolei Yisrael in the last generation, one of the principal builders of the Yeshiva world in America, and a founder of Torah education in Eretz Yisrael. A leading figure of Agudas Yisrael worldwide. From a young age he was renowned as an Illui, an extraordinary scholar of immense diligence, sharpness, and breadth of knowledge. He studied Torah under HaGaon Rabbi Zalman Sender Kahane Shapira and later under his Rabbeim in Slabodka. He married the daughter of HaGaon Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer. He served as Rosh Yeshiva of Slutsk and Kletzk, and later founded the great world center of Torah in Lakewood. Written on official stationery. [1] leaf. 30 cm. Good condition. Fold marks.
