With the signature of Rabbi Shmuel Frankel of Dorog on the title page: 'חנני ה' בזה הק' שמואל פרענקל מב”ח' With annotations in his handwriting. Harav HaKadosh Rabbi Yitzchak Eizik Yehudah Yechiel Safrin (1806–1874) — the Admor and G-dly Mekubal of Komarna, son of Harav HaKadosh Rabbi Alexander Sender Eichenstein, and disciple of his uncle Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch of Zidichov, the “Sar Beis HaZohar, ” and of the Rebbe of Apta, the Rebbe of Ropshitz, and others. After his marriage, he moved to Pińczów, where he served as Dayan and Admor. He later returned to Komarna, where he served as Av Beis Din and Admor to thousands, becoming renowned as a supreme holy man and miracle worker. He authored numerous works in both the revealed and hidden Torah, in Halachah, Chassidus, and Kabbalah, and his writings were highly esteemed by Admorim from all circles. HaGaon HaKadosh Rabbi Shmuel Frankel, author of Imrei Shefer of Dorog (1815–1882) — among the greatest figures of his generation and one of the Tzaddikim of Hungary. A foremost disciple of Rabbeinu HaKadosh of Sanz and of HaGaon HaKadosh Rabbi Avraham Yehudah Leib HaKohen, author of Kol Aryeh. He resided in Komadi and later became Av Beis Din of Dorog in Hungary. He was recognized as a holy and righteous man in addition to his brilliance and sharpness in Torah and Halachah. He raised many disciples. The Tzaddikim of his generation and the Geonim of Hungary regarded him as one of the leading figures of the generation and held his opinion in the highest esteem. During the fierce struggle over preserving the purity of the Hungarian communities, Maran the Yitav Lev of Sighet, sought the rulings of the Imrei Shefer on many matters. Maran the Ksav Sofer likewise held him in great respect and esteem. The Sefer underwent professional restoration. Stains. Damage to letters at the ends of lines on the final leaf.
