[2], 69, 45 [should be 44] leaves. With approbations of Rabbi Yaakov Meshulam Ornstein (Yeshuos Yaakov), Rabbi Moshe Sofer (Chasam Sofer), and Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch Chajes (Maharatz Chajes). From this edition onward, the Sefer was divided into two parts, with an index printed at the end of each part. With a few short glosses. With stamps of Rabbi Moshe Halberstam, Av Beis Din of Bardejov–Bartfeld. Ownership inscription in Latin script in pencil on the verso of the title page. Rabbi Ephraim Ben Reb Aharon Navon (1677–1735) – immigrated from Constantinople to Jerusalem in 1700 and studied in the Neveh Shalom Yeshiva. He later traveled as an emissary of the Jerusalem community to Constantinople, where he was asked to remain as a Halachic authority and Dayan in the Beis Din of Rabbi Yehuda Rosanes, author of Mishneh LaMelech. He authored several Sefarim, the most well-known being Machaneh Ephraim, published after his passing. Harav HaKadosh Rabbi Moshe Halberstam, Av Beis Din of Bardejov–Bartfeld (1849–1903) – among the great Tzaddikim of his generation. Son of Harav HaKadosh Rabbi Baruch of Gorlitz (son of HaGaon HaKadosh of Sanz, author of Divrei Chaim), and of Mrs. Pesil, daughter of Harav HaKadosh of Sighet, the Yetev Lev. He studied Torah under his illustrious grandfather—who entrusted him with editing the Shu”t Divrei Chaim—as well as under HaGaon HaKadosh Rabbi Shmuel Engel, Av Beis Din of Radomysl and Kashau. In 1874, upon the recommendation of his grandfather, he was appointed Av Beis Din of Bardejov (Bartfeld, Hungary), where he later also served as Admor. He left behind a distinguished lineage engaged in Torah and mitzvos. Among his renowned descendants was his son-in-law HaGaon HaKadosh Rabbi Chana Halberstam of Koloshitz.
