Manuscript. Booklet of Chiddushim and commentaries on Pirkei Avos and several Torah portions – Săcel (Maramureș), 1934. A remarkable and previously unknown tradition: extraordinary words spoken by the Divrei Chaim of Sanz concerning Harav HaKadosh Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac of Zidichov! On the cover leaf appears a faded stamp: ”הסתדרות [פועלי] אגודת ישראל – סוטשעל מאראמארעש” At the conclusion of several of the Chiddushim appears the signature: ”...הק' ישראל” One of the leaves is dated: Parashas Re’eh, 1934. On another leaf, the author cites with reverence the Sefer Etzei Chaim: “According to what I saw in the holy Sefer Etzei Chaim, zy”a, and may his merit protect us, Amen.” Perhaps the writer was among his disciples. On the final leaf, the author relates: “I heard it said in the name of the holy Gaon of Matina, zy”a [Harav HaKadosh Rabbi Chaim of Matina], when he was here this past winter... that he was in Vyshkovo on Shabbos Parashas Vayeira and expounded on Friday night on the verse...” The final leaf records a rare and apparently unpublished tradition containing remarkable praise spoken by the Divrei Chaim of Sanz concerning Harav HaKadosh Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac of Zidichov: “Such a thing we find among several Tzaddikim of recent generations. The Chassidim relate that once the holy Gaon, the Divrei Chaim of San z”l, said to his holy son Rabbi Baruch of Rudnik... ‘All the hairs of my beard have turned white, yet I have still not achieved Teshuvah.’ His son replied with holy wisdom: ‘And who is preventing you?’ The holy Gaon then answered that every day a proclamation is made in Heaven that Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac of Zidichov serves Hashem with love, and that he greatly needed to travel to him , but what could he do, for he was old and his strength had waned.” [13] leaves, most written on both sides.
