Bnei Brak, 1971. [1] postal card. Dated 'בין כסא לעשור תשל”ב' HaGaon Rabbi Shmuel Rozovsky (1913–1979) — foremost among the Roshei Yeshivah of the postwar generation. A disciple of HaGaon Rabbi Shimon Shkop, from whom he received his method of learning. He immigrated to Eretz Yisrael in 1936 with the assistance of HaGaon Rabbi Reuven Katz and studied in his Yeshivah in Petach Tikvah for two years. With the establishment of Yeshivas Ponevezh, he was called upon to serve as its Rosh Yeshivah. His lectures attracted the finest Torah scholars and were later published in the series Chiddushei Rabbi Shmuel, Shiurei Rabbi Shmuel, and Zikaron Shmuel. Rabbi Naftali Herzl ben Rabbi Avraham Rogol (1911–2000) — Shochet U'Bodek in Petach Tikvah and Jerusalem. A distinguished disciple of Rabbi Eliyahu Duschnitzer, Mashgiach and Rosh Mesivta of Yeshivas Lomza in Petach Tikvah, as well as of the Mashgiach Rabbi Yechezkel Levenstein and Rabbi Shlomo Heiman.
