Letter of Recommendation from the Holy Pnei Menachem of Gur. Jerusalem, 1964. Airmail letter in His Holy Handwriting of the Admor of Gur, Rabbi Pinchas Menachem Alter, author of Pnei Menachem, requesting that the Ezras Torah organization in New York support a Bachur from among the students of Yeshivas Sefas Emes who required assistance with the expenses of his wedding. Jerusalem, 1964. [1] airmail letter. The entire letter is in His Holy Handwriting, with his signature and stamp. The Admor, author of Pnei Menachem (1926–1996) — youngest son of the Imrei Emes. From 1957, he served as Rosh Yeshivah of Yeshivas Sefas Emes in Jerusalem and cared for all the needs of his students with the concern of a compassionate father. The Ezras Torah organization was founded during the First World War in order to assist Rabbis, Bnei Torah, and their families. Over the years, the organization aided Bnei Torah in Europe, the United States, and Eretz Yisrael in a wide range of areas. For many years, it was headed by HaGaon Rabbi Yosef Eliyahu Henkin and HaGaon Rabbi Yisrael Rosenberg. Fold marks. Very good condition.
