Matteszalka, 1946. [1] leaf, in the handwriting and signature of Harav HaKadosh Rabbi Eliezer Fisch of Matteszalka, with the stamp of his community. Harav HaKadosh Rabbi Eliezer Fisch, Av Beis Din of Matteszalka (passed away in 2001) — son of Harav HaKadosh Rabbi Yechezkel Fisch of Matteszalka. Among the disciples and Chassidim of Harav HaKadosh, the Ahavas Yisrael of Vizhnitz. He served as Av Beis Din of Kocsord. Following the Second World War, as the sole survivor of his entire immediate family, he returned to Matteszalka, where he recovered the manuscripts hidden by his father. At the request of Holocaust survivors who returned and reestablished an Orthodox community there, Rabbi Eliezer succeeded his father as Av Beis Din of Matteszalka and worked extensively on behalf of the surviving remnant of European Jewry in the displaced persons camps of Germany. In 1947, he emigrated to New York, where he led the Matteszalka Chassidus. Author of the Sefarim Pri Eliezer and Noam Siach. Fold marks, stains. Fair–good condition.
