Letter of recommendation in the handwriting of HaGaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Dovid HaLevi Ish Horowitz, Av Beis Din of Stanislav, author of the “Imrei Dovid” Erev Rosh Chodesh Marcheshvan 1926 – postcard Letter of recommendation for the Avreich Rabbi David Perkovitz of Jerusalem, stating that he is fit for a position as Kashrus supervisor and the like: “and his eyes and heart shall be devoted to performing the work of Hashem faithfully, and one may rely upon him to partake of bread under his supervision, for he stands on guard that everything be conducted in accordance with the purity of the Shulchan Aruch.” HaGaon Rabbi Dovid HaLevi Ish Horowitz, Av Beis Din of Stanislav (1861–1934) — extraordinary Gaon and tremendously proficient in Shas and Poskim. From 1911, he served as Rav of Stanislav until his passing in 1934. Author of the Sefarim “Divrei David HaRishonim” (Drohobych, 1911), and the responsa “Imrei David” (Bilgoraj, 1934).
