Aggadic Chiddushim in the name of the “Yitav Lev” in a letter from his disciple Rabbi Yechiel Michel Frenkel, to his father. Volove, 1903. “ And I have already interpreted, according to your approach, the verses of our Parashah of the past holy Shabbos, Parashas Tetzaveh… for I have already prefaced in the name of my Rebbe, in Parashas Yisro…” — letter of Rabbi Yechiel Michel Frenkel and his household to his father and brothers. The letter includes Aggadic Chiddushim drawing the hearts of Israel to their Father in Heaven, by Rabbi Yechiel Michel, in the style of his father’s Derashot, together with introductions from the Chiddushim of his Rebbe, the “Yitav Lev.” [3] pages, Lashon HaKodesh and Yiddish. The letter also mentions the victory of the Admor of Sighet, author of the “Yitav Lev, ” over his opponents, who “all regretted… confessed their sin… and all together submitted under the hand of the Admor shlit”a, and scarcely a word of his utterance would be changed.” Included with the item is a printed leaf of part of the material appearing in the present letters. HaGaon HaKadosh, wonder of the generation, Rabbi Yekusiel Yehudah of Sighet, author of “Yitav Lev” (1808–1883) — successor to the path of his grandfather and his holy father Rabbi Eliezer Nissan, son-in-law of Harav HaKadosh Rabbi Moshe Dovid of Tolcsva. He studied Torah with great toil in the shadow of the holiness of his grandfather the Yismach Moshe, who was close to him and loved him. He revealed to him hidden secrets and bestowed upon him abundant measures of his exalted spiritual levels, beyond human comprehension. In his days, Sighet Chassidus reached tremendous proportions. From all corners of the land people flocked to him to hear his Torah and delight in his fiery words, to elevate themselves in prayer and Avodas Hashem, and to merit his pure blessings, which never returned empty from his mouth.
