Warm letter of recommendation bearing the signature in His Holy Handwriting of the Slonimer Admor, the “Nesivos Shalom” – Iyar 1960 Letter of recommendation, typewritten and signed in His Holy Handwriting by HaGaon HaKadosh Rabbi Shalom Noach Berzovsky, author of the “Nesivos Shalom” of Slonim. Written on behalf of his brother-in-law, Harav Hachasid Rabbi Zelig Weinberg (son of the Admor the “Birchas Avraham” of Slonim), on the occasion of marrying off his daughter. The entire letter is written with esteem and love from the depths of the heart, in wording that comes straight from the heart. The Holy Admor, HaGaon HaKadosh Rabbi Shalom Noach Berzovsky, author of the “Nesivos Shalom” (1911–2000) — Gaon and holy man, among the greatest Admorim of our generation, among the heads of the “Chinuch Atzmai” and the “Vaad HaYeshivos, ” and member of the “Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah” of Agudas Yisrael. He was the foremost disciple of the “Beis Avraham” of Slonim and of HaGaon HaKadosh Rabbi Moshe Midner, and son-in-law of the “Birchas Avraham” of Slonim. He ascended from Baranovich to Eretz Yisrael in Adar 1935 and settled in Tiberias. In 1940, he moved to Tel Aviv, where he served as Rosh Mesivta in the “Achei Temimim” Yeshiva of Chabad Chassidim. In 1942, he established the “Beis Avraham”–Slonim Yeshiva in Jerusalem and stood at its head for approximately forty years. In 1981, he was crowned Admor of the Slonim Chassidim. He became renowned for his orderly and lucid approach in Chassidus and contemporary matters, and was famed for his extraordinary wisdom, purity of character, and above all as an outstanding educator of exceptional grace who left his mark upon his students. His lectures on tractates from Nashim and Nezikin were printed in the series “Nesivos Shalom” and “Shiurei Nesivos Shalom.” His principal renown throughout the world came through his Sefarim “Nesivos Shalom, ” seven volumes on Chassidic thought and Avodas Hashem, written in a clear and lucid style, distributed and printed in hundreds of thousands of copies, becoming a kind of Chassidic “best seller” followed by many.
