“Our honored brethren in the diaspora” – a proclamation, blessing for a good new year and encouraging donations, by the treasurers and managers of the Kupat Harabanim institution, and the Geonim Rabbi Yitzchak Yerucham Diskin and rabbo Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld. Jerusalem, 1923.
“Every penny will reach its intended purpose, to succor the souls of Gedolim and to support the religion and the community of G-D, the old generation in Yerushalayim. And in this merit you will be inscribed and sealed for good, in the book of Tzaddikim, and we and you shall greet a new and sweet year.” Proclamation from the managers of Kupat Harabanim to donors abroad before Rosh Hashana of 5687. [1] sheet in Hebrew, Yiddish, and English. With seal of the fund, seals of Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld and the seal of the Beis Din Tzedek for all Ashkenazi communities in Yerushalayim. The heading contains “Information on Kuppat Harabanim” in Hebrew and English, and in between a greeting for the new year, also in Hebrew and English.
Fold marks. Tears. Tiny defects and stains on bottom. Good condition.
