AFTER EUGENE BROMEL (GERMANY 1858–1932) – BRONZE RELIEF (PLAQUE) - 19th century. A winged nymph playing double flutes to an angel holding a winged fish, set against a background of flowers and birds. Apparently based on a 19th-century adaptation by Bormel of a classical 17th-century composition, attributed to Friedrich Adolph Hornemann, who himself created a later version after an original from 1697. Relief dimensions: 47.5 x 30.5 cm.
