IMPRESSIVE FRENCH MANTEL CLOCK, CHARLES X STYLE, CIRCA 1880 - Clock frame and four columns in blackened wood. Gilt bronze ornaments on the base, the upper section, and around the Roman dial. Impressive pendulum in a lyre design with a Medusa head. The maker’s name is illegible, but it is noted that the movement won a silver medal in a clockmaking competition. Strikes every half and full hours. Height: 47 cm. Working condition.
