ANDRE AUCOC. FRENCH SILVER CENTERPIECE - 1887–1911. Neo-Rococo. Composed of a framed mirror topped with a four-branch candelabrum. An exceptionally high-quality piece. Weight (candelabrum only): approx. 1,585.7 grams. Overall length: 43.5 cm. Aucoc was the royal jeweler to Louis Philippe of the House of Orleans, Napoleon III, and Empress Eugenie. He won prestigious medals, including the Legion of Honor. Rene Lalique was one of his students.
