Very Rare bronze medal ”Remember” the Holocaust of European Jewry. - A Tribute to the Six Million Martyrs Maurice Frankenhuis, a Dutch survivor of Nazi concentration camps amassed a collection of artifacts and documented the experiences of World War II. He commissioned this medal as a personal expression depicting his wife and two daughters embracing against the background of Jews being herded onto cattle cars to extermination camps. On the other side, REMEMBER in Hebrew and English, with a truncated tree stump with new shoots, symbolizing the survival and and new growth. Issued in conjunction with American Gathering of Holocaust Survivors in Washington D.C. in 1983.
