Bidspirit auction | A nostalgic and rare bonbonniere

A nostalgic and rare bonbonniere box of ”Elite” chocolate, model ”Exodus”, made in Israel. - The box is designed in the shape of a hardcover book. It was illustrated by the renowned Israeli graphic designer Franz Kraus. The illustrations: The upper part presents two historical and dramatic scenes of the Jewish people – above is the biblical Exodus from Egypt, and in the center is the ship of the illegal immigrants ”Exodus”. The box contained a collection of various chocolates and pralines (”Assorted Chocolates”) and was manufactured in the historic Elite factory in Ramat Gan, probably during the 1950s or 1960s, and was intended, among other things, for the local market and for export.
