Engraving of a map of Jerusalem by Matthäus Merian 1638. The map shows an illustration of the old city, surrounded by the city walls and mountains. The various sites are numbered 1-24 and below there is a index with the names of the places in German. Outside the walls there is a bridge that crosses over a river and a number of people and a horse cross it. A very beautiful item. Given in Passepartout. Good condition. Net map size: 35X22 cm.
