60 Biblical Postcards in a Bezalel Album - 1918
60 postcards (a complete set) in black and white with photographs of clay works by the artist Domenico Mastroianni on various biblical themes such as the creation of the world, the tree of knowledge, crossing the Red Sea and more. Each postcard has a description in Hebrew and English, with the reference to the relevant verse. On the other side of each Another title postcard in French.
The postcards are in a Bezalel album with an olive wood cover. On one side of the album cover is a colorful drawing of the Old City of Jerusalem, showing the Jaffa Gate, the Tower of David and the Al Aqsa Mosque. On the other side the words "Bezalel Jerusalem". Two circles embedded in the wood indicate coins or other decorations that were there in the past. On the inside of the cover is a Bar Mitzvah greeting from 1934.
The postcards are from 1918, made in France. Sold in Israel exclusively by the Eliyahu brothers in Jaffa, Palestine.
Postcards size: 14X9 cm. Album size: 26X18 cm. Good condition.
