Travels in the Orient - Two Volumes, Including a Map - 1860
Reisen im Orient, von H. Petermann.
Leipzig: Verlag von Veit & Comp.m 1860-1861.
Travels to places like Constantinople, Damascus, Jerusalem, Nablus, Lebanon, Baghdad, Egypt and more. The first volume includes an engraving in front of the title page, the second volume includes a large, folding color map (size: 70X38 cm). The volumes are from the library of the historian Nathan Schur, and some of his handwritten notes are attached.
German, 408 + 471 pp., 22X15 cm. General good-reasonable condition, in the second volume the spine of the cover is torn and detached. There is a small tear in the map.
