Hakoah Vienna
was an important Jewish sports club that operated in Vienna until World War II and included athletes from various sports. The club was mainly known for the Jewish soccer players from around Europe, as well as the swimming team, athletics, field hockey, wrestling, mountain climbing and more. The author of the book, Arthur Baar (1890-1984) was an Austrian Jewish football manager. He immigrated to Palestine in 1938 and helped build the industry here in Israel. A large and elegant edition, with photos, to mark the jubilee of the establishment of the club in Vienna, copy #151 of 500, signed by Baar. Attached to the book are two membership certificates of a club member named Egon Jaari, from 1965 and 1967, both signed by Baar.
