De Bruyn (1726-1652) was a Dutch painter and writer who traveled to Palestine, the Levant and other places, and authored several illustrated travel books. This book includes 210 engravings, many of them on full pages and on fold-out pages. Some open to a width of 120 cm. A very rare and expensive book sold worldwide between 15-25 thousand dollars. Leather binding. Dutch, 398 pp. + index, 34X22 cm. Detached front cover, there are some detached pages, general wear to the cover, general wear to the pages including creases and rust spots.
