Lexicon for literature, journalism and Yiddish philology, by Zalman Reisen (1887-1939) who was a Yiddish philologist, historian of literature, editor, translator, writer and critic. The lexicon includes entries about writers and poets, including biographies and photos. Fancy three quarters leather covers in red and green with golden inscriptions. Yiddish, 1287 + 1043 + 795 + 911 pp., 25X19 cm. Good-fair overall condition: one of the covers the spine is torn and detached; in two of the volumes the spine is fixes with scoth-tape; first volume with detaching pages.
