Published by Anthony's, Johannesburg, 1943. Folder with 20 linoleum cuts + two cover pages with additional cuts and an introduction page by Eric Rosenthal. Copy #8 from a limited edition of 200 copies. Signed by the artist. The images in the series depict scenes of the Holocaust and the destruction of European Jewry. Glas (1897-1973) created the prints in 1942 in Kibbutz Yagor, where he settled after immigrating to Israel in 1934. At first, the Israeli publishers refused to print the series, and it was published in South Africa. It was only in 1945 that it was also released in Israel. 32x23 cm. Good overall condition: few stains and light wear.
