First edition combining in one volume three different titles of George Nicoll's ”Three Bears” series, including the famed children’s tale ”Goldilocks and the Three Bears, ” originally published in 1837 under the title ”The Story of the Three Bears.” Also included in this volume are two additional Nicoll stories, originally published separately in 1840 and 1841. In addition to a general title page, the first story has its own title page. Illustrated with dozens of original hand-colored woodcuts by Robert Hart. A rare book. OCLC shows less than 10 copies extant and only two have appeared at auction in the past 25 years. No copies available for sale online. English, 188 pp., 11X14 cm. Good condition.
