Wooden Box Game for Learning Numbers - 1940s / 1950s - A hand-made kindergarten game in a wooden box containing a set of playing pieces decorated with attractive hand-painted illustrations (fish, flowers, houses, umbrellas etc), a set of numbered pieces, and a set of dotted pieces. The sets are numbered from 1 through 10, with the illustrated piece for the number 1 depicting the flag of Israel. The goal of the game is for the child to match a numbered piece to its matching illustrated piece and dotted piece. The wooden box is stamped with an ink stamp in Hebrew: “Erwin Rosa. Tel Aviv, 235 Dizengoff Street. Artistic toys for kindergartens”. 22X18 cm. Good overall condition, light wear and a few cracks. The set of numbers is missing a one board.
