Grobman (b. 1939) is a Soviet-born artist, an activist of the second avant-garde movement, and an opponent of Soviet rule who immigrated to Israel in 1971. In 1975, he founded the ”Leviathan” group with Shmuel Ackerman and Avraham Ofek, which aspired to independent Israeli art, free from Western influences. The English title page has a dedication in Russian by the artist, alongside an original illustration by him in pen. The catalog includes dozens of high-quality color images.
