Michail Grobman - The Metamorphoses of Collage - Moscow Museum of Modern Art, 2009. Grobman (b. 1939) is a Soviet-born artist, an activist of the second avant-garde movement, and an opponent of Soviet rule who immigrated to Israel in 1971. In 1975, he founded the ”Leviathan” group with Shmuel Ackerman and Avraham Ofek, which aspired to independent Israeli art, free from Western influences.
