Two Political Manifestos of the Black Panthers - 1. The Black Panthers and the War: A flyer in which the Panthers write againt with the Israeli establishment, (probably following the Yom Kippur War), and after the establishment broke its promises and betrayed their trust. The text is structured in the form of paragraphs, each of which begins with the phrase ”We accuse.” The Panthers accuse, among other things, the establishment of having ”brought the people of Israel to the brink of an abyss, ” and the Israeli government of ”neglecting security for the needs of its rule.” The document ends with an oath in which they promise to fight the establishment and the government until its overthrow ”in the name of all the soldiers who understand that they have been betrayed, in the name of the entire people, because this establishment is no more capable of bringing peace than it was capable of preparing for war.” 4 pages, 24X17 cm. Good-fair condition: wrinkles and general wear, pen inscription on the last page. 2. A letter addressed to citizens that declares at the beginning: ”Our slogan is: Enough!”, and then details: Enough of the gap that divides the people in two, enough of the discrimination of a vast public, enough of poor education, poverty and inhumane housing, and enough of indifference and despair. 20X16 cm. Fair condition: wrinkles, tears, general wear.
